OMNI-DIRECTIONAL SORTING CONVEYOR

Abstract

In light of today's technological development, it has become necessary to use machines to reduce the number of workers in factories and delivery companies. For this reason, we decided to work on a sorting conveyor that helps delivery companies sort packages. From our point of view, this project will help the delivery companies sort the packages easier and in less time without the need for many workers to do this task. The system can be used in factories and other industrial distribution centers where the packages must be sorted to take them to their destination. The packages are placed on a conveyor system where the QR on the top of the package is scanned and then it is weighed and classified as (heavy, medium, or light). Depending on the QR and the weight of the packages, they are routed using omnidirectional wheels to their destination.
