An Experience in Preparing Rehabilitation and Design Plans: The Case of Seventy Road, Jenin, Palestine

Abstract

The project involves of the design and rehabilitating of the road connecting Almania circle with the bypass road (Seventy Road) which falls under the jurisdiction of the Jenin Municipality “Jenin / Westbank / Palestine”. The total length of the road is 1,400 meters, and it will be designed with a width of 17 meters. This road holds significant importance as a vital commercial route in the region, serving a large number of residents both within the city and across the governorate. The project scope includes all necessary surveying works, traffic count, the engineering and construction design of the road, and related requirements such as quantity calculations (cut and fill), rainwater drainage systems, and adherence to safety and security standards for all road users, including pedestrians and vehicles.
