Saybolt Universal Viscometer

Abstract

Saybolt Universal Viscometer is used to measure the viscosity of liquids by measuring the time required in second for 60 milliliters of the tested liquid between 40 °C and 100 °C, to pass through a standard orifice. Technology used in this project for eases the control during the test and gives the most efficient accuracy, as it will automatically open the gap of the orifice using a control valve that will open when the desired temperature is achieved in the orifice tube and calculate the required time to reach 60 ml, and then closes the gap. All of the parts are controlled by a Microcontroller unit which is programmed to analyze the inputs of the sensors, and uses the required time to reach 60 ml in the equation of viscosity then it shows the result on the screen. جهاز قياس اللزوجة هو عبارة عن جهاز مستخدم لقياس لزوجة الموائع من خالل حساب الزمن المستغرق بالثواني لتعبئة 60 مل من العينة بعد مرورها من خالل الفوهة عند درجة حرارة 40 درجة مئوية و 100 درجة مئوية. التقنية المستخدمة في هذا المشروع تتيح سهولة التحكم أثناء االختبار وتعطي الدقة األكثر كفاءة ، حيث أنه سيتم تلقائيا فتح الفجوة باستخدام صمام التحكم الذي سوف يفتح عندما يتم تحقيق درجة الحرارة المطلوبة في االنبوب حيث يتم حساب الوقت المطلوب لتدفق 60 مل من العينة، ومن ثم يتم إغالق الفوهة. يتم التحكم في جميع األجزاء من قبل وحدة التحكم التي تم برمجتها أيضا لتحليل مدخالت أجهزة االستشعار، ويتم استخدام الوقت المطلوب للوصول إلى 60 مل في معادلة اللزوجة ثم تظهر النتيجة على الشاشة .
