Detection and localization of faults in power distribution lines

Abstract

Our project is Detection and localization of faults in power distribution lineswhichaims totransmit the value of fault and status of the environment readings(humidity, water leakage,heat) through a microcontroller unit and a modem (GSM\GPRS modem ) and communicate with the main server in Electricity Company headquarters, and design a program which has a representation (map) of the network covered by the electric power company, give a notification to the server and communicate automatically with the employee in charge of the site to correct the fault in the specified location.
