dc.description.abstractNowadays, wireless networks are widespread due to their mobility , simplicity and expandability . however , one of the most challenges that face wireless networks developers is the propagation loss which limits the coverage of these networks. From this point , the need of modeling propagation loss of wireless signals shows up, as it provides a good impression and expectation about the coverage of the field strength of wireless signal. This was the main motivation for our project. We are intending to come out with models for indoor propagation at 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz frequency bands by taking many measurements using HF60105 spectrum analyzer , in a sample of five larg buildings , for the indoor penetration loss experienced by a signal transmitted from an external source. These models are for multiwall penetration loss and for the general indoor propagation loss. Analysis of data will enable comparison between the two frequency bands.en_US
