BUILDING STREETS NETWORK ANALYST SYSTEM FOR HEBRON CITY

Abstract

تعتبر مدینة الخلیل من اكبر مدن الضفة الغربیة صناعیا ومع ذلك تفتقر إل ى وج ود نظ ام ش بكة ط رق محوس بة، حی ث أن ھ م ن الجدیر بالاھتمام تطویر ھذا النظام وتطبیقھ.

یتضمن المشروع إعداد وتحضیر شبكة طرق محوسبة باستخدام نظم المعلومات الجغرافیة والذي یقوم بتحلیل الشبكة وعرضھا على المخطط الھیكلي لمدینة الخلیل.

قام ھذا المشروع بإعداد وتحضیر شبكة طرق محوسبة لھذه المدینة على نظام GIS لكي یتم استخدامھ في تحدید اقصر وأسرع مسار من حیث الزمن والمسافة. ولذلك ارتأینا أن نطبق ھذا النظام على مدینة الخلیل آملین أن یج ري تطبیق ھ عل ى ب اقي م دن الضفة الغربیة. The increasing demand on Hebron city streets network make it very important to build a digital streets network model as part of integrated planning strategy for Hebron city development plan. This will help in finding the shortest or fastest path from point to point in some critical condition or in some economic cases. A clean and ready to use digital streets network database for Hebron city is created. This system can be run under ArcGIS 9.2 network Analyst extension. Our final application enables the users to; 1. Calculate drive distance to nearest transit stop. 2. Calculate time needed for Ambulance to drive to accident area. 3. Calculate time needed for Fire cars to reach accident area. 4. Determine the service area for pharmacy, schools, mosques and many others. Analysis of the distribution of schools and mosques in Hebron city using our application shows a lack of schools in Hebron city while there are enough mosques.
