The Efect of Spark Plug Types on Engine Performance and Emissions

Abstract

There are many di erent spark plug designs available in the market nowadays. Under- standing the di erences between them is bene cial in helping the engine to run properly and e ciently. In the present study, a group of spark plugs with di erent characteristics by elec- trode gap, number of electrode, projection in cylinder and geometry of electrodes were chosen to explore their impact on the engine performance and emissions. In an attempt to enhance engine performance, smoothness and reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
