Energy Saving Automatic Street Lighting System

Abstract

Abstract Energy saving is one of the most important aspects in our life trying to achieve because different forms of energy including electricity, gas and oil cost a lot of money. Large percent of this cost is spent on wasted energy through the use of applications. This leads to search for new technologies and systems that save energy. In our project, we will design and implement an automatic street lighting system. The main goal of this system is to reduce the energy consumed in the high road ways by using traffic density based control system. The system works based on the traffic density. This control is done by switching lights ON or OFF. The main function of the system is monitoring the amount of traffic in this road, and it will control lighting function of the road. In order to demonstrate this function, we build a model that simulates the idea of lighting control system.

الملخص على الرغم من أن الحفاظ على الطاقة لیست قضیة نفكر بھا في حیاتنا الیومیة , إلا أنھا وبدون أدنى شك قضیة بالغة الأھمیة. جمیعنا نستخدم الطاقة على مدار الیوم ولكننا للأسف نقوم بذلك بشكل بدیھي دون التفكیر بالعواقب. والأمر الذي ینساه معظم الناس ھو أن الطاقة لیست متوفرة الى الأبد , وأننا للحفاظ على نوعیة حیاتنا یجب ان نستخدم مصادر الطاقة بحكمة. ومن ھنا ظھرت الحاجة للبحث والتفكیر في طرق تھدف للعمل على توفیر استھلاك الطاقة. "energy saving street lighting system" یھدف مشروع الى توفیر الطاقة من خلال بناء نظام یتحكم بإنارة الشوارع على الطرق السریعة وذلك اعتمادا على سرعة السیارات , مع العلم أن ھذا النظام یعمل فقط في اللیل ویقوم مبدأ عملھ على التحكم واختیار المصابیح الكھربائیة المنوي تشغیلھا بالاعتماد على سرعة السیارة . ولصعوبة تطبیق ھذا المشروع حالیا على أرض الواقع تم بناء نموذج یوضح الیة العمل.
