dc.description.abstract Power systems could be subjected to partial and/or full damage due to natural or human made causes in stressed territories, which results in tremendous disasters and increases causalities and mortalities. This mandates intelligent design for the power systems in these territories. The article proposes the intelligent Microgrid (MG) for implementing the power system of hassled territories such as Giza Strip in Palestine. The article also proposes the optimal configuration of a MG that fulfils the requirements of a small town/zone. The configuration is implemented via Optimization. The results confirm the applicability of the proposed MG for hassled territories. The proposed MG could result in a sustainable and affordable power supply even during severe and outrages operating conditions. en_US
