STRUCTURAL DESIGN OF A RESIDENTIAL-COMMERCIAL BUILDING

Abstract

This project aims to apply the theoretical knowledge that has been acquired during the years of study through making a complete analysis and design of a 9-story residential building with an estimated total area of 3222.1 m2. In this regards, the architectural plans of the building were studied. Then structural planning of the building was done, in which the location of columns and beams was determined to fit with the architectural plans. A detailed structural study also was carried out to estimate loads that act on each member using the Jordanian code for gravity loads estimation and (ASCE7-16) code for the definition of lateral seismic loads. Analysis and design then were done in accordance with ACI 318-14 Building code based on the ultimate strength method for concrete design and working stress method for soil design. That was using structural programs such as Atir BeamD, Found, SP Column, Safe 2016, and Etabs2018. Finally, structural working drawings were prepared to present the reinforcement details of all members. ﯾهدف اﻟمشروع الى عمل تصميم انشائي ﻟجميع اﻟعناصر الانشائية اﻟمكونة ﻟمبنى سكني تجاري ﻤكون ﻤن 10 طوابق تقدر ﻤساحتها

الاجمالية بـ 3222.1م.2 وذﻟك ﻟما ﻟلتصميم االنشائي ﻤن اهمية فهو ﻤن اهم المراحل اﻟتي يمر بها اﻟمبنى واﻟتي ﯾتم فيها تحدﯾد اﻤاكن الاعمدة و الأنظمة الانشائية ﻟمختلف عناصر اﻟمبنى وبذﻟك ﯾتم تحويل اﻟمخططات اﻟمعمارية الأولية اﻟى ﻤخططات قابلة ﻟلتنفيذ . وتحقيقا ﻟهدف اﻟمشروع تم في اﻟبداية دراسة اﻟمخططات اﻟمعمارية و اختيار انسب اﻟية ﻟتوزيع اﻟعناصر االنشائية بما لا ﯾتعارض مع اﻟتصميم اﻟمعماري ﻟلمبنى , ثم تم عمﻞ دراسة انشائية ﻤفصلة تم فيها تقدﯾر الاحمال اﻟمتوقعة على جميع اﻟعناصر الانشائية بالاعتماد على اﻟكود الأردني (في تحديد الأحمال الحية ) واﻟكود الأمريكي ASCE-16 ﻟتقدﯾر احمال الزلازل , بعد ذﻟك تم تحليل وتصميم جميع تلك اﻟعناصر.

بالاعتماد على اﻟكود الامريكي ACI318-14 وباستخدام ﻤجموعة ﻤن البرامج اﻟهندسية . في اﻟنهاية تم إعداد اﻟمخططات اﻟتنفيذية ﻟجميع اﻟعناصر االنشائية اﻟمكونة اﻟمبنى ﻟيصبح اﻟمبنى قابالً ﻟلتنفيذ .
