dc.description.abstract The results of a study aimed at the determination of the concentration of Rhodamine-B dye at parts per billion (ppb) levels from remotely-sensed optical reflectancespectra of marine and fresh water are described. An estimated signal is derived from spectral radiometer data using an improved cross correla- tion technique. In applying this technique use is made of the fact that some a priori information is available regarding the spectral distribution of the signal produced by the dye. The procedure for calibrating the signal estimate with ground truth data is described. en_US
