dc.description.abstract The internal composition engine laboratory has an essential device in Mechanical engineering study which is Dynamometer. This device let students consolidate the theoretical information in their study, but there is an essential need to run this device again to obtain this target, but the problem is: the mechanical coupling between engine and generator (two main parts of dynamometer) has been broken after few seconds of device’s running when our colleagues tried to rehabilitate this device last year, since they chose improper mechanical coupling to their device So, the mission was: first step was to choose number of flexible couplings of this device not rigid type to avoid any serious damage if coupling break and to accommodate misalignment. Second step was to make a comparison between them to choose the most proper coupling to device condition. Third step was to make a design for our chosen coupling, all these steps had been done in the first semester and we implemented our coupling design in second semester , run the device again and make many experiments on it like brake power, fuel consumption and mass fuel rate. en_US
