Abstract:
Electronic data interchange can be classi ed as one of the important areas of information technology, where the need for data sharing increasingly required in almost every eld such as health-care, e-government, e-commerce and scienti c researches. Data sharing
concept can be de ned as the process of interchanging, analyzing, retrieving and inte- grating data among multiple data sources in a controlled access manner. The use of information technology in di erent areas began to increase. The exchange and sharing di erent types of information have been also required. Although data sharing facilitates the way that data can be exchanged, security concerns arise as a challenge for con- ducting data sharing. Many polices including con dentiality, integrity, availability and privacy must be taken into consideration. In this thesis, preserving privacy subject will be considered. This thesis will provide a literature review for di erent privacy preserving models that facilitate data sharing among di erent areas. Also, it will propose a new privacy preserving data sharing model that combines compression techniques such as Hu man coding and di erent encryption algorithms in order to provide privacy in data sharing to facilitate data sharing in di erent areas. Performance parameters, such as processing and transfer time, and the enhancement for the expected model are also con- sidered. Experiments results over 10 di erent les sizes show that the proposed model provides privacy to shared les also it reduces large le size since the proposed model use Hu man coding. The proposed model is 87% faster on speed of 1MB/sec and on speed of 16MB/sec it is 38% faster than existing models.
