Abstract:
Tourists and visitors from other countries often search for what they associate
with their country products, foods and heritage items. Not only the visitors but also the
citizens of the same country are interested in commercial traditional centers, for
cultural products and heritage shops known to some countries.
In addition, from this point, an idea of creating a commercial Palestinian Mall
in Amman / Jordan, showing the various traditional and other Palestinian products
manufactured in the West Bank, a restaurant and bakery serving Palestinian products
and some shops, has become a goal within this research.
The objective of the project is to study and analyze the theoretical aspect of the
Palestinian commercial center projects to form a theoretical background that supports
the design aspect of the proposed project.
All aspects of the design of the Palestinian Commercial center have been
examined from design determinants, criteria, and similar case studies based on the
descriptive analytical approach. The information was obtained from books, magazines,
research and publications related to the research subject, in addition to field visits to
some commercial centers, markets, and the library to study the design requirement.
As a desired result of the research, the Palestinian Commercial center will be
designed on the proposed project parcel in Amman / Jordan on an area of 2.5 dunums
in the Wadi Sir area.
