dc.description.abstract |
After tennis training or a match is finished, a huge number of balls remain in the playground, and it takes lot of efforts and time to collect them, especially in case of players that have special needs.
In this project, we develop a Mobile Robot with on board intelligence system to collect tennis balls. A global vision system is constructed to localize tennis balls and the collecting robot. This localization system comprises from four cameras that are mounted on the corners above playground. Utilizing computer vision algorithms, the system detects locations of individual balls and computes a suitable path for collecting them. This informationare continuously delivered to the mobile robot. |
