dc.description.abstract |
With the rapid proliferation of vehicle availability and usage on the road in recent
years, finding a vacant car parking space is becoming more and more difficult resulting in a
number of practical conflicts. Lots of researches and developments are being done all over the world to implement better and smarter parking management mechanisms. In order to\ alleviate the aforementioned problems, "Vehicle’s Smart Parking" system has been developed. With the implementation of the “Vehicle’s Smart Parking system” drivers can easily locate and secure avacant parking space at the parking lot deemed convenient to them in easy and technology based way. Smart parking is the first step in the right direction to solve many problems in the city leading to urban environment. We implemented a “Vehicle’s Smart Parking” prototype system for parking management to realize the design functionalities and features mentioned. The system will direct and guide drivers to the most convenient available parking space in the parking facility in the shortest
amount of time and least effort. The system consists of web and android application on the
drivers mobile, which allows the driver to know where the nearest available parking spaces is. The system can display the location of the driver's car on his smart phone through the android application when one comes back to get ones car. In addition, the system allows the driver to reserve a slot in the parking from anyplace where the internet is available. |
