Abstract:
Nowadays, when we talk about e-Learning, we mostly mean an on-line class using Web Technology, with the use of Multimedia and Interactive Technology to enhance choice for learners in what and how they learn.
The ultimate aim of this project is to create and develop a new electronic course that will achieve the RUFO and SCORM standards and objectives for the course of Introduction to Computer which is one of the most important university requirements at Palestine Polytechnic University. The system enables the teacher to add, delete and setting the course's material for the purpose of delivering the learning process for the students. In addition, the system allows students to login to the course and doing several processes of browsing, quizzes, downloading, and interacting with their teachers and other people through the forum forms.
In addition to delivering the course's materials, the project aims to create interuniversity network in Palestine through achieving the RUFO objectives, and to produce a reusable course's materials through applying the SCORM standards in that the content of the course can work effectively on other learning environments.
However, the team concludes that e-Learning is seen to be more suited to the delivery of content than to skills building. Hence, eLearning has the capability to enlarge learning skills and facilitate any e-Learners at anywhere and anytime. So, Project team highly recommends implementing the developed e-learning system at PPU.
