dc.description.abstract Geothermal energy is on of the most important ways to conserve energy. The aims of this project is to describe the procedure of theoretical design of vertical ground loop source heat pump, to obtain a comparison between ordinary heat pump and geothermal heat pump , and to calculate the payback period for the economical feasibility study of the geothermal heat pump compared to chiller system for cooling and heating load. Local climate conditions and soil properties of hebron will be used to design the geothermal coil, and coefficient of performance for cooling and heating will be calculated and predicted for the local conditions available. en_US
