dc.description.abstract Background: Food labels are a tool to promote public health by providing information which allows consumers to make informed dietary choices. At the same time, food labels may represent a marketing tool and may influence consumers’ perception of food quality . Objectives: The main objective of this study is to determine the awareness of male and female students in reading Food Label at Palestine Polytechnic University . Moreover, to find the relationship between reading food labels with gender, BMI and university specialization. Methods: This study is a cross-sectional study, conducted on students of Palestine Polytechnic University in Hebron from all faculties, and a questionnaire was made on Google Form and distributed to the groups of the university. The questionnaire consists of three sections: Section A included the demographic information of the participants, and Section B included the information Section C includes questions related to eating healthy and daily habits regarding assessment of awareness and knowledge of food labels. Data analysis will be performed using spss software. en_US
